How This Price Calculator with Expenses Works

The formula used in the code for calculating the final price is:

finalPrice = cost + material + transport + other + storage + processing + labour + utility + GST_amount + profit_amount

Where:

cost is the cost of the product or service
material is the cost of any materials used in the product or service
transport is the cost of transportation for the product or service
other is any other miscellaneous costs associated with the product or service
storage is the cost of storage for the product or service
processing is the cost of processing for the product or service
labour is the cost of labour associated with the product or service
utility is the cost of utility associated with the product or service
GST_amount is the GST calculated as a percentage of the sum of all the costs (cost, material, transport, other, storage, processing, labour, and utility)
profit_amount is the profit calculated as a percentage of the sum of all the costs (cost, material, transport, other, storage, processing, labour, and utility)
For example, if the cost of a product is $100, the cost of materials is $20, GST is 18%, transport is $10, other costs are $5, profit is 10%, storage is $5, processing is $10, labour is $15 and utility is $5, the calculation would be:

GST_amount = (100 + 20 + 10 + 5 + 5 + 10 + 15 + 5) * 18 / 100 = 18.9
profit_amount = (100 + 20 + 10 + 5 + 5 + 10 + 15 + 5) * 10 / 100 = 9
finalPrice = 100 + 20 + 10 + 5 + 5 + 10 + 15 + 5 + 18.9 + 9 = $182.9

So the final price for the product would be $182.9.

It is important to note that the values entered in the input fields should be numbers and not empty or negative, otherwise the calculation will not be performed and an error message will be displayed.
